Jazz/R&B Songstress Eloise Laws to Perform on

New Year’s Eve To Benefit U.S. Vets Inc.

Active and Retired Military Personnel, Buffalo Soldiers,

and Tuskegee Airmen are among the honored guests

 

 

(December 28, 2011) Los Angeles, CA -World-renowned singer Eloise Laws will be performing to a sold out crowd, which includes military men and women – active and retired.  The New Year’s Eve celebration begins at 7 p.m. at Nola’s Taste of New Orleans Restaurant, 734 E. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA (Arts District in downtown Los Angeles).  At midnight, KCAL TV’s Judge Joe Brown will toast to the New Year.  KJZZ 88.1 FM’s Bubba Jackson will host.

“Bringing in the new year with family, fans, and some of the brave men and women who fought to protect our nation, is a true blessing and testament to still standing,” said Laws, who is a breast cancer survivor. To that end, her sister Debra Laws (“Very Special”) and other surprise guests will join her on stage to give fans of the talented Laws Family an unforgettable night of magical music.

The attendance of the veterans was made possible by the urging of Eloise Laws and the generous support of US Bank.  “I am honored to be included in Ms. Laws event and pleased to know that veterans are given recognition for our sacrifices,” said Sgt. First Class Charles Davis (ret. Army) and honorary Buffalo Soldier.  Also attending is Major Andrew Aaron, a decorated Korean War Buffalo Soldier, is a member of the 9th and 10th Horse Calvary Buffalo Soldier Regiment, which was recently inducted in the Gene Autry Museum.

  1. I totally wanted to be there, but I had an unforseen family emergency that didn’t allow me to be in Los Angeles. I miss you guys & Happy New Year to all.
